making kitchen cabinets go to the ceiling
I just go one step at a time, and make decisions as i go. i’ve said it before, and i’ll say it again: i would make a terrible interior designer. but one thing i did know… i wanted the cabinets to extend up to the ceiling. you might remember awhile back i scribbled out a little sketch of what i wanted my ‘someday kitchen’ to look like.. We are really into extending things and making them look bigger. we nailed it when we extended our fireplace to the ceiling and made the room look so much taller.. we also just extended our lower kitchen cabinets by adding open shelving and a tilt out trash can.but the newest thing we did was extend our upper kitchen cabinets to the ceiling using one piece of wood.. Extending kitchen cabinets to the ceiling is a great way to increase cabinet storage space and make your kitchen appear larger. there are a few different factors to consider before deciding whether or not to extend your cabinets. contact american wood reface today for a free in-home consultation.. making kitchen cabinets go to the ceiling
I'll admit i was a little anxious on how i would extend our kitchen cabinets so i hesitated a bit. i thought it would be much more involved than it was. thankfully it went really quickly and was a fairly simple build. (this is a popular updated post from our last home!) for years i've been planning to build our cabinets up to the ceiling.. We've got lots of good stuff going in on the other side of the kitchen, a new cabinet to house the refrigerator that will go to the ceiling and a new base cabinet beside it, for an undercounter microwave (gotta get that off the counter). we'll do some cool open shelves there with some special sconces above to light the shelving..
